The M3308 test is a full featured Linux Computer using an Intel CPU Processor running a Standard Linux 2.6 Kernel and includes a large 320GB 3.5" Hard Drive. A powerful GUI (Graphical User Interface) allows the user to easily build and edit test scripts for complete test coverage of SAS/SATA SSD's. The M3308 is an ideal tester for engineering testing, manufacturing sampling, qualification testing, RMA test & evaluation and Failure analysis of SAS/SATA SSD’s.
The M3308 tester is currently available in configurations to support up to 8 units of 2.5”, and 1.8” SATA & SAS devices and up to 8 units of 3.5” SATA & SAS devices.
UUT's (Units Under Test) are plugged into an easily changed socket adapters. The UUT connector interface is the standard SAS connector which also supports SATA drives. Other connectors such as the micro SATA, mini SATA, and custom SATA connectors can be easily accommodated.
SSD parametric tests include VCC and ICC margin testing as well as VCC random power on and off testing A wide range of speed test parameters are available for measuring Read and Write speeds. Smart commands as well as a link to user defined scripts are easily executed. Low Level Format commands are supported on an individual controller specific level.
Mode tests include PIO, DMA, and UDMA modes with support for Smart Commands and SCSI and ATA Pass Thru Commands
Speed tests include Write, Read with user selection of Block Size, Data Type, etc.
Duplication functions include use of Source data residing a file, pattern, or Master device placed in the first socket. Smart Copy Functions are available that allow fast duplication of FAT, NFTS, HFS+, EXT2 and EXT3 formatted drives.
