M7310 SSD Burn in Chamber Tester

M7310 SSD Production Burn-in Chamber Tester

The M7310 is a 4, 8, 12, or 16 socket SATA Tester integrated into a high quality ESPEC burn-in chamber. The M7310 is targeted at developers, evaluation engineering, and medium volume production.  Supported device types include SATA 2.5", 1.8", and module SSD's using SATA 1 (1.5 GB/sec) and SATA 2 (3.0 GB/sec) interfaces. Standard VCC support includes 5V and 3.3V supplies with optional support for drives requiring a 12V supply.

The test electronics of the M7310 tester is attached to the door of the ESPCE burn-in chamber. This unique design allows easy access to the tester electronics while providing a convenient load and unload operation for the operator.

The Temperature Burn In Chamber has a range from -65 Degree Celsius to +150 Degree Celsius. The temperature of the chamber can be controlled either with a temperature controller on the burn in chamber or via an RS232C cable connected to an M7310 slice. Scripting commands are available for dynamic control of the chamber temperature as part of the M7310 Job program.

Available M7310 configurations include 4, 8, 12, or 16 socket versions. The 16 socket M7310 version is made from four M7310 4 socket slices networked together using Gigabit Ethernet and mechanically stacked in a single metal frame connected to the Burn-in chamber door. One of the M7300 slices acts as the master slice. Complete control of all M7310 slices is achieved using a four port KVM in conjunction with a 17" LCD, keyboard, and mouse.

Each M7310 slice is a full featured Linux Computer. A powerful GUI (Graphical User Interface) allows the user to build and edit test scripts for complete test coverage of SATA SSD's as well as monitor and control all M7300 slices.

SSD power test functions include VCC and ICC margin testing as well as VCC random power on and off testing. Mode testing is included for PIO, DMA, and UDMA modes along with ATA pass through commands. A wide range of speed test parameters are available for measuring Read and Write speeds. Smart commands as well as a link to user defined scripts are easily executed. Script commands support both LBA28 and LBA48 SATA command streams. Low Level Format commands are supported on an individual controller specific level.

UUT's (Units Under Test) are plugged into an easily changed socket adapters. The UUT connector interface is the standard SATA connector. Other connectors such as the micro SATA connectors can be easily accommodated.

Duplication functions include use of a Master device placed in the first socket. Smart Copy Functions are available that allow fast duplication of FAT, NTFS, HFS+, EXT2, and EXT3 formatted drives.

Each M7310 slice uses an Intel E6600 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo CPU Processor with 1GB RAM Running Standard Linux 2.6 Kernel and includes  a large 300GB 3.5" Hard Drive.
